SLOW THE PROGRESSION OF MYOPIA IN CHILDREN
It is now possible to stop or slow the progression of your child's myopia.
Myopia, or nearsightedness, is a common eye condition in which the eye has grown too long to focus light properly. This results in blurry distance vision.
The number of people affected by myopia is increasing: in 2000, about 25% of the world’s population was myopic; by 2050 it is estimated that 50% of the population will be myopic. Fortunately, we have new technology to help address this issue.
MiSight®1 day soft contact lenses are the first and ONLY contact lenses approved by the FDA to slow the progression of myopia in children 8-12 years of age at initiation of treatment.
MiSight daily wear, single-use contact lenses are an effective treatment to help manage and treat myopia. Daily disposable lenses are created to wear in the morning during the day (we recommend wearing them for at least 10 hours per day, 6 days a week), then dispose of them in the evening.
If your child is experiencing symptoms of myopia (commonly known as nearsightedness), such as difficulty seeing the chalkboard in the classroom, the TV screen across the room, or the clock on the wall, he/she may benefit from MiSight.

How Does MiSight Work?
MiSight® 1 day is an award-winning dual-focus soft contact lens that uses ActivControl™ Technology to slow the elongation of the eyeball. The ActivControl™ Technology in MiSight® 1 day utilizes an optic zone concentric ring design with alternating vision correction and treatment zones.
Two zones are vision correction zones with the label power of the contact lens and the alternating two zones are treatment zones with 2 diopters of defocus to slow the progression of myopia. This design allows the child to see clearly while benefiting from the treatment effect.
